Melin Tregwynt

“A trip to Tŷ’r Sgwlyn is not complete for me, without visiting the woollen mill at Melin Tregwynt just down the road,” says Louise.

“The mill itself is set within a small complex of buildings typical of local architecture.

“From Tŷ’r Sgwlyn,  it’s easy to get to either by car or public footpath, although this can be muddy depending on the time of year.

“Melin Tregwynt is still a working woollen mill after 100 years. You can watch the cloth being woven on large looms. I enjoy the sound of the machines and the smell of the oil.

“Afterwards you can indulge yourself in the shop followed by tea, coffee or a light lunch in the café.
