Let’s call the whole thing off

First we holidayed in tents, camping above Caerfai Bay; then caravans, there and above Whitesands; then on to holiday cottages, until one year Mum and Dad came with us and fell in love with Pembrokeshire and bought a place for themselves to retire to. That didn’t work out for them, but for over 25 years since, with children and now grandchildren, Dru and I have loved and looked forward to coming back to Pembrokeshire and Dad’s cottage.
Now we’d like you to find rest or fun or maybe both, too.
Welcome to Tŷ’r Sgwlyn – the Schoolmaster’s House!

Time-out: a home from home; a comfortable retreat, deeply-rooted in the peace and beauty of remarkable surroundings. My memories are of special, very varied times with family and friends, of all ages, doing a lot or a little and at all times of the year; the pace of life working its magic on everyone. Time there is always what it needs to be, though never long enough!
From the very beginning, Mum and Dad wished to share the joy of Tŷ’r Sgwlyn with us all. Now we would like to invite you to enjoy it too.
Come and let West Wales cast its spell on You!
Love, Nin
This corner of Wales is very special to me. A sense of ‘arriving’ descends as soon as the hillfort at Garn Fawr comes into view and increases as I step through the front door at Tŷ’r Sgwlyn.
I love waking up in the morning, hearing the rooks, Dafydd talking to his dog in Welsh, and the comings and goings in his farmyard opposite.
There’s a lot to do round here whatever the weather – it’s especially cosy and snug in winter.
Please come, and discover it for yourselves.
